Not sure what your garden needs, or what it might come to? Send a few photographs and I'll give you an honest read of the likely time and cost — before you commit to anything.
Two or three wide shots of the garden are usually plenty.
A sentence or two about what you'd like doing is enough to go on.
Likely time, likely cost and the assumptions behind it — read by Tom before it's sent.
An estimate, not a quotation. Your photographs are kept privately.

Fred's Tips · 5 min read
Most of the gardens I am called to do not need new plants, or a new design, or a new anything. They need to be reminded of themselves.

If I had to choose a single plant that holds a Suffolk border together through the awkward weeks between spring and full summer, it would be euphorbia. Not showy. Just quietly there, doing the work.

Geum is one of those plants I keep coming back to because it flowers for longer than it has any right to, and asks almost nothing in return.

A little about me
I started Bon Gardening because I believe gardens don’t need to be complicated to feel beautiful.
I enjoy helping people care for what they already have — whether that’s regular maintenance, restoring overgrown borders, or simply keeping a garden looking its best through the seasons.
My approach is thoughtful, respectful and reliable. Every garden is different, and I take the time to understand what will help it flourish naturally.
Tom does the digging. I just remember where everything is planted.
