How I Work
Keeping things simple is important to me. Every garden is different, and every customer wants something slightly different. Some people know exactly what they’d like. Others simply want someone reliable to help keep on top of things.
Whatever brings you here, my aim is the same —
to make the whole process straightforward, thoughtful and enjoyable.
STEP I
Get in Touch
Tell me as much or as little as you’d like. You might simply say, “the lawn needs mowing and the weeds have got out of hand.” Or you may already have ideas, plans or questions about your garden. Either way, we’ll start with a friendly conversation.
STEP II
A Visit
I’ll arrange a convenient time to visit. We’ll walk around the garden together, talk about what you’d like to achieve and answer any questions you may have. There’s no pressure — it’s simply an opportunity for me to understand the work involved.
STEP III
Your Quotation
After the visit, I’ll send you a clear written quotation based on what I genuinely believe your garden needs — nothing more. If there’s a simpler solution, I’ll recommend it. If anything unexpected comes to light later, we’ll talk it through before any additional work is carried out.
STEP IV
The Work
Once you’re happy to go ahead, we’ll arrange a convenient time to begin. From that point, I’ll simply get on with the job.
Bon Gardening isn’t about trying to do everything. It’s about doing the everyday things well —
- Mowing lawns.
- Weeding borders.
- Tidying pathways.
- Keeping gardens cared for.
Simple work, carried out thoughtfully, respectfully and to a consistently high standard. I take pride in arriving when I say I will, treating your home with care, communicating clearly, and leaving every garden looking genuinely cared for.
Some customers simply want the work done, and that’s absolutely fine. Others enjoy being involved — talking about their garden, sharing ideas or the history of the space. I genuinely enjoy those conversations too.
I love plants, and one of the things I enjoy most about this work is that every garden has something to teach. Many customers have spent years caring for their gardens and often pass on knowledge, stories and experience that I genuinely value. Gardening has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and I believe there’s always something new to learn.
As Bon Gardening grows, the services I offer may evolve, but the way I work won’t change. I’ll continue to focus on doing simple work thoughtfully, respectfully and to the best of my ability.
